Dear Freinds and Loyal Customers,
The seasons in life change, and this year has been such a season for our business. Over the past seven years, Father’s Café, Catering and Bakery has become a recognized name to residents, brides and businesses in the Lynchburg area. We dedicated our lives to serving you and the community with not only great American cuisine, but a friendly atmosphere and a personal touch that reflected our commitment to the family unit and to Christ our Lord.
Though it’s been a joy to serve you, we decided to close our doors on March 29, 2014. With rising prices of food, an increasing tax burden and the normal costs of overhead and labor, we found ourselves struggling to maintain a profitable business. Plus, just a few months earlier, local business owners, Brian and Vickie Runk, invited the Father’s Cafe Team to serve in their businesses. These businesses include The Runk and Pratt Senior Living Communities at Liberty Ridge and The Bedford Columns Event Venue.
Shortly after the offer was made, we accepted and, upon closing our doors, immediately started work. I am pleased to announce that we will still offer the good food and service you enjoyed at The Bedford Columns. This beautiful facility will host weddings, corporate parties, private parties and other events. Also, I am excited to announce we will be open each Sunday from 10:30 a.m - 2:00 p.m. for a gourmet Sunday brunch! You may call 540-586-1407 for reservations.
Like I mentioned, I will also be the Corporate Chef of food service at The Runk and Pratt Senior Living Communities at Liberty Ridge. This brand new, independent living and assisted care venue is state of the art and allows residents the luxury of private apartments, fine dining and planned activities.
Last, we want to thank you for your loyalty, business and friendship over the last several years. God bless each of you in your future endeavors. Don’t be surprised to see the name Father’s Café appear on a road sign in the future! We love you and will miss you all.
